Cookie Policy

How Sketchlings uses cookies

We use only the cookies and storage needed to keep the app safe, signed-in, and easy to use. No ad tracking, no behavioral profiling.

This page is maintained by Sketchlings to explain the cookies and similar technologies we use. It is not independent legal advice; please read it alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device. They help the site remember who you are, keep you signed in, and remember preferences. We also use similar technologies such as local storage for consent choices.

Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for Sketchlings to work securely. They include authentication session cookies managed by our backend (Lovable Cloud / Supabase) so parents can sign in and stay signed in, and security cookies that help protect your account. You cannot disable essential cookies because the service cannot function without them.

Functional cookies and storage

We use a small functional cookie to remember interface preferences, such as whether a sidebar is open or collapsed in the parent dashboard. We also store your cookie-consent choices in your browser's local storage so we can honor them on future visits. These are not used for advertising or tracking across sites.

Analytics and advertising cookies

Sketchlings does not use third-party advertising cookies, behavioral advertising, or cross-site tracking pixels. We do not currently run analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will ask for your consent before enabling them and update this policy.

How to manage your choices

You can update your cookie preferences at any time by visiting the Cookie Settings page linked below. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Keep in mind that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features.

Cookie list

  • Authentication tokens — issued by our backend when a parent signs in. Essential, session-scoped, and encrypted in transit.
  • sidebar_state — remembers whether the parent dashboard sidebar is open or collapsed. Functional only.
  • sketchlings_cookie_consent — stores your consent choices on the Cookie Settings page so we can honor them.
